// Michael Schaerer //
Some interesting shows coming up for Michael Schaerer including this SAT at La Gra in STL. Very very small intimate dining space. Tiny stage. Solo and all original in a "storytellers" setting. He did this on Valentine's day and it was amazing. They take reservations and did I mention its tiny? So call ahead.

// Rich & Rihanna //
I'm sure everyone's heard about Rihanna in the news lately. Rich was to perform with her at the Grammy's but their appearance was cancelled just before the show began due to her incident with Chris Brown the night before. Since then Rich has been busy in the studio working on a couple different projects. Rumors are buzzing that GNR is working on a stadium tour for this summer but nothing has been confirmed as of yet. When that info is available, we'll pass it along.

The Michael Schaerer Group has a brand new new myspace site located at http://www.myspace.com/msgstl Please go visit often for updates on his show calendar and some streaming audio. Be sure to give him some love on the comments too while your at it. Speaking of love, you're going to dig this post from his mailing list last week... "Great things happening already for this year…Blumenhof winery dates already booked…I'll be performing for the La Gra singer/songwriter series on Valentine's Day…I plan on playing all original material including some NEW COMPOSITIONS and explaining the thought process behind the lyrics. I've never done this before and I've had many people ask me about why and how I write songs…this is opportunity to find out. Mark your calendars…bring your sweetheart!"

Well as you probably know, Rich was on tour with Rihanna in November and December. Well he's back on the road for the next few weeks and you just might be able catch some of these dates... on tv... THEEYES-PALEDIVINE.COM launched today with a ton of new information, pictures,
and
an extensive streaming audio collection... to support the fact that... the
long awaited Pale Divine reunion show has been announced for December 29th,
2008
at The Pageant, STL! No ticket onsale date as of yet,
but at long last... Michael, Rich, Dan, and Greg will be performing together
for the first
time in 15 years.
6/4/06
PALEDIVINE.NET went offline after 10 years of support and dedication. We apologize
for the interruption.
7/24/04
Finally, an update. Sorry for the lack of anything lately... but there
isn't that much to report. GNR is still on hold after the aborted 2002
tour. Rich
will be touring with BT again this fall though. Watch for August/September
2004 dates. Michael is playing ALOT these days with MSG. See www.msgstl.com
for an updated calendar.
12/11/02
The Guns N' Roses tour is officially over. See this report from Pollstar
released today... "It was a tour that never got off on the right foot. Guns N'
Roses' long-awaited return to the stage is now officially off. Tour promoter
Clear Channel Entertainment issued a statement that read: "The remainder
of the Guns N' Roses concert dates promoted by Clear Channel Entertainment
have been cancelled. Refunds will be available at point of purchase." No
reason for the cancellation was given, although a look at the Web nets
several theories ranging from poor ticket sales to band squabbles to Axl
throwing
a diva-style fit. The tour was book ended by two no-shows from Axl Rose.
The
first show, scheduled for Vancouver, B.C., never happened - a decision
that resulted in rioting from angry fans. What was to be the first of two
Philadelphia
gigs on December 6 met the same end - Axl failed to show up. The outing
was scheduled to run into January. No comment yet from the band.
11/18/02
GNR played what would have been their 5th show last night in Moline, Illinois.
(Actually, the tour opener in Vancouver was cancelled by the venue because
the band's plane was delayed... and a riot ensued. Go figure.) Anyway,
the show was incredible. CKY (from MTV's Jackass) and Mixmaster Mike (from
the
Beastie Boys) both played opening slots. Not bad, but not good enough to
satisfy those who paid hundreds of dollars online or from scalpers for
floor seats...
as frequent chants of "GUNS AND ROSES" could be heard between sets.
So far the tour has been plagued with on and off technical difficulties...
though it appeared that only Axl suffered last night. The music sounded very
good, but Axl's vocals often faded down into the mix. Although he was noticeably
frustrated and continually adjusted his wireless pack, his spirits remained
very good during the show. He looked energetic and sang well... unlike the
Video Music Awards. As for the players, everyone was phenomenal. Robin Finck
played most of the leads and did so superbly. He was energetic and confident
as he blazed through 'Sweet Child O'Mine" and "Welcome to the Jungle".
Buckethead was a bit of a disappointment really. Though all three guitars
shared the bulk of the leads, Buckethead didn't really impress me much
and really
took away from the energy of the stage show. Robin and Rich could easily
pull off all the songs by themselves. Speaking of Richard Fortus, yesterday
was
his birthday and he gave a great effort for it. He was all over the stage
and absolutely assaulted his guitar as usual. He played the lead on 'The
Blues'
and 'Nightrain'. I watched from the 10th row, stage left... and it was
a great show. Nice job Rich! See you again later in the tour.
The setlist was... Welcome To To Jungle, It's So Easy, Mr. Brownstone, Live
And Let Die, Knockin' On Heaven's Door, Think About You, Guitar Solo [Robin],
Sweet Child O' Mine, You Could Be Mine, Guitar Solo [Buckethead], Piano Solo,
November Rain, Out Ta Get Me, Madagascar, Rocket Queen, The Blues, Chinese
Democracy, Patience, My Michelle, Nightrain.
9/30/02
The Guns N' Roses US Tour dates have been announced. See http://www.gnronline.com
for more information and dates. This is an indoor arena tour and venues are
selling out fast. If you want to see Richard Fortus with GNR, you'd better
act fast... and remember, they won't be in STL because of the 1992 riot...
8/18/02
Welcome to the new Pale Divine site. I guess this is probably version 5.0
by now. Many, many things to be added... finally... so stay tuned.
Richard Fortus has officially replaced Paul Tobias as rhythm guitarist
for Guns N' Roses. They are currently on tour of China, Japan, and Europe...
though they do plan to return to the U.S. for a fall tour starting in perhaps
October.
The new album titled "Chinese Democracy" is nearly finished and Rich
has been recording on several of the tracks. Axl stated, "Richard's
the guy that we always were looking for. I think that we'll go on to write
some
very interesting things with Richard and he's already done some rhythm
work and some leads on the album."
It seems that Greg Miller will be performing again with Michael Schaerer.
MSG plays St.Louis nearly every weekend and current drummer, Steve Hunt (formerly
of NWS) keeps a very busy schedule. Greg and Steve will be sharing drumming
responsibilities beginning in the very near future. I'll try to keep you
posted
on the when(s) and where(s) but just to be safe, please join the mailing
list and I'll be sure to send out weekly notices.
7/31/02
Well, the big news is that Rich is now playing with Guns N' Roses. He auditioned
for the band a couple years ago and as the new lineup has been slow to emerge,
he recently auditioned again and now finds himself preparing for several
shows in the Far East and Europe. They do plan to return to the U.S. later
this fall for a brand new tour.
9/7/01
You may have noticed that the mailing list isn’t working. The service
I was using has been discontinued. I promise to get a new one up and running
as soon as possible. In the meantime, keep checking the site for updates on
Michael’s shows and news on Rich going on tour.
8/21/01
Some touring information posted today. Michael will be playing around town
over the next few weeks. See the venues listed in his gigs section. And,
Rich will also be hitting the road again soon. This time with Enrique
Eglesias.
I’ll post dates and cities once I have the information.
7/19/01
Michael Schaerer site redesign launched today. Also, many Links were revised.
And, a Merchandise page was added as well. Still many more changes to
come.
5/6/01
New intro finally added with the old logo and some updates to the general
information.
3/12/01
Design, Redesign. It seems like I’ve spent a year thinking about the
site and planning changes. Well, the facelift is finally here...
and there is more to come. You will find that this version of the site is not
a full
archive at the moment. I will be adding modules over the next
couple months including revisions to Michael Schaerer’s information as
well as a comprehensive section on The Eyes. And you just might find some mp3
samples of the songs
you’ve all been begging to hear. Oh, and I’ve added
a Tour section. Why? Well, just because. Take a look and see
for yourself.
12/3/00
Updates to paledivine.net are coming very soon. A new flash intro
was added today as a reminder to check back soon for additions.
11/11/00
Sorry for the lack of updates lately. Things have been brewing
quietly and it's finally time to fill in the blanks. Okay,
here is what I know.
There has
been alot of discussion by the band recently about doing
the reunion gig and releasing the demos. I know for fact that the
guys tried to make
it happen
this year around X-mas, but unfortunately, due to schedules
and such... it couldn't be done. But... listen to this...
Michael, Rich, Dan, and Greg have all been involved in these discussions
and the official plan
is for
the Reunion to be held
next year at Thanksgiving. So, it looks like November 23rd
or 24th of 2001 has a
green light and is being planned.
Also... Rich is soon to have the demos in his hands and he
will be remixing them. And, as another very special gift,
they have
discussed writing
a new song to include on the cd. The cd is planned for release
at the Reunion show. In the meantime: Michael is still at
Kennealy's Pub in Soulard every other Friday night. Rusty Allen, Steve Hanock
(original bassist
for the
Eyes), and Steve
Hunt (x-New
World Spirits) are playing with him. Look for them to be
hitting some other clubs as well in the near future. Rich
is still touring with BT. If you haven't seen them yet, check them out. Rich
is playing a really groovy electric
cello and, of course, guitar.
See
www.btmusic.com for more information. Greg is playing around
town again with a new band, Hannibal. Please go out and support him as well.
2/13/00
Michael & Ursula are pleased to announce the birth of their son, Lucas
Michael Schaerer on February 9th. The hospital picture is available in Michael's
site under the bio section.
1/19/00
In case you haven't heard, Michael and his wife, Ursula, are expecting
their first child any day now and he has been incredibly busy making
preparations for fatherhood. Obviously, there haven't been any full band
gigs lately and
Michael has dropped Wednesdays at Kennealy's as well. Michael is, however,
currently playing with a 5 piece band at Kennealy's every Friday night
that you absolutely must check out. The band consists of Michael, Rusty
Allen,
Brian
Hilgert, Steve Hannock (the original bassist for the Eyes), and Tim Layman.
Please come down and join us for a night of great music.
1/08/00
Not many things to really report lately. The full band is on hold for now
due to both personnel and personal issues. Rich was in fact in St.Louis,
as reported,
over the Thanksgiving holiday. He and Michael played at Kennealy's to
a surprised crowd that night in what was surely an incredible set.
Unfortunately, I was
out of town and missed it as well. Also, something you might have missed...
Les Aaron has been playing "Halo" on 105.7 The Point during
New Music Sunday for the past few weeks. At last some consistent radio
play.
This is
about the only radio play he has received locally, except for a KDHX
in studio performance on 6/4/99.
5/01/99
I apologize for being off-line for so long. A few things have changed
in the past couple months. First of all www.paledivine.net has been
registered and
I'm in the process of making massive updates to the site. In the meantime,
the current site is accessible through the new address and the old
with a
few nice links located at the new for easy access. Watch for more to
come. Also, Michael is playing a gig at the Side Door on Monday, May
3rd opening for P.J. Olsen. Doors are at 8pm and the cover is $5 ($7 under
21). Rusty
and Brian will be with him. And, the Official CD Release Party for
Cross To Bear
is finally upon us. Saturday, June 5th at the Side Door. Michael will
be performing with the full band and playing songs from the cd as well
as some
vintage Pale
Divine.
12/29/98
Michael's cd is now available via mail order for all of you no longer
in St.Louis. Just send a check for $12 (plus $3 for shipping/handling)
to:
Mion Records,
P.O. Box 220893,
St. Louis, MO 63122
Autographed copies are available if requested. Obviously, the shrink
wrap will be broken. Order yours today! Please allow 4-6 weeks for
delivery
12/16/98
Radio Iodine's final show was very interesting. See Radio Iodine
for more information.
Site changes include: Simply Divine is now a chat room; Press Clippings
has been expanded; Official Biography is now included; and check
out the word
search!
12/5/98
Make it a full weekend. Be sure to see Michael at Kennealy's on
Friday, December 11th. He will have his string section with him
for at least
one set of songs
from the cd. And then, head down to Mississippi nights on Saturday
for Radio Iodine's farewell show.
11/14/98
Don't miss Radio Iodine's farewell performance at Mississippi
Nights on Saturday, December 12th. The cost of the show is
$7 and Full
On Venus is opening. Come
out and mourn this loss with the rest of us. It should be an
incredible show at this venue.
10/17/98
Well, as we all wait for Michael to finish the lineup for his "band" and
to begin performing songs from Cross To Bear, the only news
I have to offer at this time is that Honky Toast will release their cd in January.
It was
to be out in October... but it seems that the only offering
for now is a 3 song
EP being distributed to college radio. I'd keep an eye out
for that.
9/26/98
Michael played an in store acoustic performance at Streetside
Records in the U. City Loop last Saturday. He played much
of the new cd
and some older
songs
as well. It was a completely acoustic representation of
the cd with guitars playing much of the piano and strings. Never-the-less,
it
was very impressive
and he was greeted with sincere applauses after each song.
Michael
said that is working on putting a band together to support
this cd. Dan will
be playing
bass again and it will feature cello & violin. He is
currently auditioning for a guitarist and drummer. He says
that he hopes to be out playing clubs
in late October in support of "Cross To Bear." There
have been many changes to the site recently in both content
and design. Michael's page has been given an almost
independent
presence with its own
counter. Lots of activity there too, I might add. I'm currently
working on expanding
the "Related Project" section... and also a "Songography" section.
I hope you enjoy.
9/13/98
It's been long awaited and it's finally here. "Cross To Bear" has
been spotted at Streetside Records in the U. City Loop.
I picked up my copy today for only $11.99 and can't stop listening to it. It's
definitely not Pale
Divine, but for those who have heard Michael play acoustic
lately, it's an incredible expression of his music and himself. I found myself
listening to
the sober lyrics and enchanting melodies. The strings
provide such a powerful atmosphere. And, you've got to hear "Lovesong".
Just one guitar this time, but the strings are incredible.
9/01/98
"
Cross To Bear" is finally finished! Some information is already on the
site with more to follow. The cd will be available
through mail order... much to the request of many of you. And, it should be
in stores within the
next
few weeks. Watch for CD Release Party announcements.
Homegrown '98 was a great show of local talent. Full
On Venus played on the front stage just as soon as
the gates
opened
and absolutely
rocked the large
crowd of early attendees. Their stage presence was
most impressive. Jimmy, Jeff, and Eric were all in
black delivering
a loud
powerful performance.
If you haven't seen them yet... go soon. They will
be playing an all ages show
at the Galaxy on Friday, September 4th. Radio Iodine
took the stage around 7pm and were incredible. The
set was about
a 50/50
mix of
old and new
material. Something new (for this show anyway) was
the fact that the keyboards/backing
vocals were replaced by a DJ playing previously recorded
backing vocals by Ellen and DAT samples. They were
testing the new
material out on
hometown fans... and they didn't disappoint. There
seem to be some break up rumors
floating
about Radio Iodine, obviously stemming from their former
deal with Radioactive ending. But I'm told that they
are still writing
and
searching for a
new
major to carry the next album. Another interesting
Homegrown note was the reunion
of The Unconscious. They gave an incredible show...
running and dancing all over the stage. They sounded/looked
like
the party
band of old.
(Not bad
for a bunch of thirty-somethings.... just kidding guys.)
A separate counter was added to Michael's page today.
8/13/98
Several bits of news:
Michael's cd is finished and will be called "Cross To Bear". It should
be available fairly soon. I'll be sure to give you
a release date as soon as I have it. I'm proud to say that this web site will
be listed in the linear
notes. Just to go along with that, I should have
quite a bit of information on the cd itself and Michael's current plans coming
soon.
Be sure to go out and support Greg with Radio Iodine
and Jimmy with Full On Venus at Homegrown '98 at
Riverport Amphitheater on August
29th. Also
performing
will be Gravity Kills, Stir, New World Spirits, Flick,
Pave the Rocket, Sarah Cloud, The Bottle Rockets,
Sugardaddy, Robynn
Ragland,
Die
Symphony, The
Outsiders, Geishamen, Slapdash, Soul Kiss, and Kristeen
Young.
Also.... the reunion of
the Unconscious!!! Don't miss this show.
Please be sure to visit http://imusic.com/cgi-bin/bbs/bbs.cgi?x=paledivine
and post about Pale Divine or related subjects. This
is a message forum at I-Music that could prove to
be an interesting
tool
for fans. I am
planning
on setting up a message board on this site... but
in the meantime, we should take advantage of this
site.
Just a bit of interesting news... I was at Vintage
Vinyl recently and, it seems, that the going rate
for a copy
of "Straight To Goodbye" is
now up from $30 to $50. Surprising? Not really since
its out of print and we are talking
about St.Louis.
7/8/98
Honky Toast has just finished recording their major
label debut for Sony/Epic/500 which is scheduled
for release
on October
1st. They
recorded 14 tracks
but its too early to tell how many will appear
on the album. Production and engineering
credits went to Andy Johns who has worked with
the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Television, Jeff Beck,
Eric Clapton,
Jethro Tull,
Rod Stewart....
and the
list goes on. They will be playing around New York
City this summer and plan to
start touring sometime in September.
6/17/98
"It's Michael music." That's how Greg described unfinished mixes of
Michael's solo project. Actually, the final mixing was done last night at The
Shed
(Dave Probst's St.Louis studio). I'll let you know
more details as soon as I get
them.
6/8/98
At last, confirmation! For better or worse, Radio
Iodine has been released from it's contract
with Radioactive
Records. Greg says
they are currently
writing for the new album and looking at other
labels. Oddly enough, it seems Atlantic
Records has taken interest.
5/31/98
Lots of updates for you today.
Richard says that the Honky Toast album is
coming along well. "We have
about 3 weeks left to go. Everything is sounding amazing. Jon Carin came in
and played on some of the stuff this week." He
did, however, say that he was never able
to coordinate playing on Michael's cd which
is too bad
really. I guess that's what we get for getting
our hopes up.
Last night at Kenneally's, Michael (with
Rusty and Brian) played for a rather packed
house.
If you've
never been
to Kenneally's,
it's a
small pub in Soulard
that offers a really nice atmosphere for
acoustic acts. Michael plays there every
Saturday and
usually draws
a good crowd
of knowledgeable fans. He played
requests from the audience covering Pink
Floyd, Steve Winwood, The
Rolling Stones, and many more. He also played
several songs off his forthcoming
cd and several favorites from Pale Divine
(Sorrow, Lovesong, Anything, Together
Alone) and Rainbox (Broken Record). After
8 months of recording, the new cd is almost
done.
Michael
said that
in a week
or so he'll finish
recording...
then you have mixing, photography, etc. It
should be available in about 2 more
months so mark your calendars.
5/29/98
Version 3.0 went online today. More changes
to come. Let me know what you think of
the new format
and
how it looks
in different
resolutions.
5/24/98
Radio Iodine is currently is working on
the new album. However, I still don't
have confirmation
that they
have been dropped
from Radioactive...
so I don't
know if this the release shall be on
Radioactive, another label, independent.
4/24/98
Honky Toast is currently in the studio
recording its first album for Epic/550.
I'll give you
an update on
that as
soon as I hear
something. Rumor has it
that Radio Iodine has been dropped
by Radioactive Records. There seemed
to be some
problems after coming off the tour.
Their first album, Tiny Warnings, apparently
hasn't done
as well as
expected.
And, its been less than 2 months and
the counter is already over 200 hits.
Not bad
for a band
that broke
up fours
years ago.
3/26/98
Honky Toast is scheduling a tentative
September release for their first
album on Epic/550.
Also, worth mentioning
is
the fact that
the Tiny
Cows are playing
every Thursday at Kennedy's.
3/15/98
Well, Honky Toast will not be touring
with Spacehog. In fact, they won't
be touring
at all for now.
Rich says they
would
rather get
into the studio
right
away and record. I'm sure they
will be touring once the albums finished
though.
And I just
remembered Michael mentioning that
Dave Probst is playing on his
cd... so I can only assume that
Dave is producing as well.
2/26/98
Rich has informed me Honky Toast
has indeed signed with Epic/550/Sony
and
plans to
start recording
in April.
They are also looking
at touring with
Spacehog
starting sometime next month.
And he will be playing on Michael's
new cd
as well...
which
should be
rather interesting.
As
for Michael, Tiny
Cows
have
been playing out alot lately
at both Kennedy's on the landing (314)
421-3655
and at Kenneally's
Pub
in Soulard
(314)
664-5584. Call
for listings or
watch the RFT or Get Out.
Counter started today.
2/18/98
The Tiny Cows played at Kennedy's
on Thursday, February 12th.
It was a good
show as usual.
Michael said his
new cd will
be out in
a couple
months. It
will be around 11 tracks featuring
other musicians. He said that "there
is every kind of song on it" and
that there was some cello and
violin too. Sounds interesting.
The Tiny Cows will be playing
at Kennedy's again on Thursday
Feb. 19th and Thursday Feb.
26th. Show starts around 10
or 10:30 pm and they
play til close (2am). I recommend
checking it out.

If you are interesting in hearing
the Honky Toast cd, I have
an address for
Black Cat
Records now.
They will
not
accept
credit card orders
but you can
send them a check for $13
per cd and they will send it to
you. Tell
them
I sent you.

Looks like Honky Toast may
have signed with Epic/550
and rumor
has it they
may be starting
an East
Coast tour in
March.
12/28/97
After first listen to the
Honky Toast cd, I'd have
to say that
it is straight
forward
rock
n' roll.
At times
it has
a bit
of a blues
feel
but it sounds
like it would be a rocking
live show. The guitarwork
is nothing
like I've
ever heard
Rich play before. Very
traditional ROCK stuff...
nothing mind-blowing,
but very
powerful.
Reminds
me of AC/DC.
12/03/97
Richard Fortus' side
project Honky Toast
has released
a cd on a small
New York
label called
Black Cat
Records. It's
supposedly pretty interesting,
but I have
yet to hear it. I'll
let you know.
Michael Schaerer told
me a couple months
ago that
he is
currently
working on
a solo cd to
be released
locally
in
St.Louis.
Presumably this will
be original
acoustic material.
I'm not sure if other
musicians
will
lend
their talents
as
well or not. You
can catch him
playing around
St.Louis
with some friends
under the name the
Tiny Cows. They mainly
play
covers,
but you're
sure to hear
a set of vintage
Pale Divine
songs too.
**The following posts
are from my previous
version
of this
web site
that has been
off line for several
months.
I'm
including these entries
to
keep the history
complete.
8/5/97
At the Homegrown show
(a St.Louis local
music festival)
Gravity
Kills frontman,
Jeff, came
out with an
acoustic guitar and
spoke about
the origins of the
St.Louis local music
scene. He specifically
gave credit
to Pale
Divine for their
influence and then
paid tribute by performing
part of "Straight
to Goodbye".
It was an interesting
moment that sent
chills down my spine.
3/16/97
The new Love Spit
Love album will
be released
on the Maverick/Warner
Brothers
label sometime
in
late May
or early June.
The final mixing
is currently
being done in
Detroit
3/11/97
Just an interesting
update... Michael
is playing
an acoustic show at
Kennedy's on
Wednesday
the 19th. It
should run
from roughly
10pm til 2:30am and
I am
told that he
has guests that will
be performing
with him.
1/9/97
This may be
a bit trivial,
but I
recently
learned that Love
Spit Love
only signed
a two album
deal with
Imago. So this
will probably
be their
last release
with the
label. I
can't see
Imago being able
to pay to
keep them
around.
1/5/97
The Kennedy's
show was
absolutely
incredible.
Friday
night
Michael
and Bill were
scheduled
to perform
acoustic.
They played
about
three Rainbox
songs
and then
Bill left
the
stage so
that
Dan and
Greg could
join in
for some
vintage
Pale Divine. Michael
and Dan
played
acoustic guitar while
Greg jumped
in with
a
very bare
drum kit
using brushes.
In the
middle of one
of the
songs, a guy
came up
on stage to
add more
cymbals.
This
was a very
spontaneous
show that
was not
to be missed.
Michael
was sick
and mixing
cold
medicine
with alcohol.
However,
he suffered more
from forgetting
the lyrics
than
from a
strained voice or
lack of
energy.
One memorable
song was
an improvised
version
of 'Universe'
which sounded
a bit like
'Jack and
Diane'
by Mellencamp...
but was
cut short
by
an ill
Michael. Saturday
featured
Michael
and Dan
both on
acoustic guitar.
(for some
reason
there was
not a bass
guitar
anywhere
in
the house)
Greg had
a full
set of drums
and
Bill played
lead
guitar.
They played most
of the
cd plus a couple
songs by
Rainbox
and
the Eyes.
Greg sang
a very
impressive
cover of
'Jane Says'
by
Jane's
Addiction too. The
night was
most impressive
and something
not to
soon be
forgotten.
Apparently
Richard
would have
made
it but
had just finished
recording
(and
producing)
the
new Love
Spit Love
album
and was
resting on a foreign
beach somewhere
to celebrate.
No release
date yet.
Michael
announced that they
may be
having "the full blown reunion thing soon" and
to watch
for another show in the next
couple
months.
12/20/96
Pale Divine,
The Unconscious,
The
Stranded
Lads,
The Nukes,
and more
will
all be performing
December
27th
and 28th
at Kennedy's
2nd
Street
Co. in
St.Louis.
This
is a
reunion
show
to benefit
a long-time
Kennedy's
employee
who is
leaving.
You
don't
want to miss
this.
Tix only
$5 in
advance and
$7 day
of show...
if
any left.
11/6/96
Apparently
Rainbox
recorded
a demo
but
no release
ever
surfaced.
They
have
not
played any gigs
for
quite some
time
and,
again,
the
various members
have
gone
their
own
directions. Bill
Christy
played
a stint
with
Elizabeth
Einstein,
but
is currently
hooked
up
with
Ninekiller.
Greg
Miller
has
left GBE
and
is
now playing
with
Radio-Active
recording
artist
Radio
Iodine.
Late
in
1996,
they
released
an
EP
and plan
a full length offering
in
the Spring
of
1997. Jerry
Saracini
is
now
banging skins
for
the
Rick
Recht
Band.
And,
Michael
Schaerer
seems
to
have
disappeared
from
the
scene... but can
sometimes
be
caught at Kennedy's
playing
some
spontaneous
acoustic
guitar.
Tragic,
isn't
it?
At least,
Rich
Fortus
is
still cranking
out
the
tunes
with
Love
Spit
Love.
They
are
currently in the
studio
working
on
their next
album.
** All news from 1994 until late 1996 has unfortunately been lost.
